Healthcare Workers Mental Wellbeing Index
The index previously provided weekly updates by analyzing Reddit comments from 6,500 doctors and nurses to track the pandemic’s impact on their mental wellbeing. The data highlighted that the pandemic's onset caused a sharp rise in cognitive load, leading to reduced analytical thinking and heightened levels of anger, fear, anxiety, and stress, leading to a lasting decline in empathy.
Please note that data updates ceased as of October 2023, so the information reflects trends up to that point.
The index was the basis of 2022 paper, Tracking Mental Health Risks and Coping Strategies in Healthcare Workers’ Online Conversations Across the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Please note: The index is not optimized for viewing on mobile devices.
Due to the large size of the dataset, It may take up to 30 seconds to render.
